A wasted childhood :-)
You ask me ... have I regrets about my childhood, How aimlessly it was spent ?

The days were spent in sunny gardens, climbing trees and reading books,
Some, in front of a television, with only a single channel & no remote,
With friends cycling, wandering the city I love.

Of making dreams, expressing with the brush, in stories and pictures being lost.
Some of it was learning things strange and familiar, to memory and the heart.
Being what I could be, leaving what I was, behind.
Most precious of them were the ones with my first loves and crushes, symbols and structures.

Regrets that I haven't been more ?
Placed back in time, would I do the same...?,

To answer that my friend, you will have to read these lines again.

Perhaps only the glint in my eyes; sorrow, determination, dreams
The changing contours and expressions that expose my each and every thought
The ability to bear the scars, is all that matters today.
